Rockets Have Matchup Problems to Overcome Against Warriors

The Houston Rockets are very gleeful from their unlikely comeback from being down three games to one in the Western Conference semi-finals against the Los Angeles Clippers, but there is no time to celebrate, especially when you have a team in front of you that, well, had your number and then some.

The Houston mindset at this time, however, has to be one of never giving up, as was illustrated in Game 6 of their series with the Clippers, where they went into the fourth quarter trailing by 13 points in an elimination situation and wound up winning by twelve. The 40-15 advantage over the final twelve minutes was something that may have astounded some Vietbet patrons, who had seen the team lay down twice at the Staples Center, losing by a total of 58 points.
Of course, not showing up on the road is something that would have to scare Rockets’ followers. On top of everything else, Golden State was the NBA’s most dominant team at home, compiling a 39-2 regular season mark. Whatever success Memphis had against Golden State was predicated upon being able to control the pace and get physical. The Warriors were first in the NBA in the “Pace” category (possessions per 48 minutes) with 98.3, but Houston was second (96.5). While this means the Rockets can probably run with Golden State, it also means that they may not be able to go quite fast enough, and that they aren’t well prepared to cramp the Warriors’ style.
