Well, Kurt Busch will not face criminal charges for an incident that took place at Dover international Speedway in which he allegedly assaulted an ex-girlfriend last September. However, Vietbet customers who enjoy NASCAR betting will not see him back in a race car immediately.
There would appear to be no question that he is on his way to a reinstatement, but there are certain things he is going to have to do to satisfy the terms of the suspension from stock-car racing’s governing body imposed upon him in the wake of a finding from a commissioner in the Family Court in the state of Delaware. Remember that NASCAR is a private organization that has its own rules and standards.
David Higdon, a NASCAR vice president who is acting as a spokesman for the organization in this matter, explains that the original decision to suspend Bush was based on that Family Court finding, and that the driver may have been subject to additional penalties that there actually been a criminal case. But as for snap judgment about letting the former Sprint Cup champion back on the track, there is no chance of that.
According to Higdon, “we will look at every situation and take what the experts are telling us.” Vietbet customers follow racing realize that Bush is the first driver ever to have been suspended as a result of the domestic violence issue. Previously, Travis Kvapil had actually been in a criminal court for domestic abuse and pleaded guilty, but received only a probationary penalty from NASCAR.
Certainly there are auto racing bettors who would love to see Bush on the track, and obviously for him to eventually be joined by brother Kyle, who has been sitting out with an injury. But it is clear, given the fact that we are so early in the Sprint Cup season, that they want him to suffer at least some punishment. They also recognize that they have to be very sensitive to this kind of issue, especially after what has happened with several NFL players, including Greg Hardy of the Carolina Panthers, where news about his case hit so close to home, considering the NASCAR headquarters are in Charlotte.
Meanwhile, Vietbet patrons want to know about Kurt’s brother Kyle, who was injured in an Xfinity series race at Daytona in the last week of February, which effectively ruined his chances a competing in the Daytona 500. He underwent surgery on his leg, but his foot was also injured, so there is really no definitive timetable for his return. Joe Gibbs, the NFL Hall of Fame coach who owns the racing team Kyle drives for, says that they are being extra careful, considering that the injuries have taken more than one procedure.
However, Kyle appears to be in great spirits. For NASCAR bettors and other enthusiasts, things just don’t seem the same without either Bush brother out there. And certainly is going to be a different Chase for the Cup this year with the likelihood that both of them are not going to be participating in it.
