The Cincinnati Bengals were unable to score a touchdown in the first two weeks of the season, and those games were played at home, which made it even more catastrophic. But, after some changes were made, they came out like gangbusters against the Green Bay Packers last week, only to fade in the second half. They’ll try to play four quarters of football against another winless team, the Cleveland Browns, in a game that begins on 1 PM ET on Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. This game will be televised by CBS on a regional basis, and VietBet customers can watch it and place wagers at the same time, as they access the state-of-the-art software offered through Live Betting Ultra.

Cincinnati lost by scores of 20-0 to Baltimore and 13-9 Houston, and reportedly the players were going to have a “mutiny” unless the offensive coordinator was changed. So Bill Lazor got the job, and the Bengals shot out to a 21-7 lead over the Packers. But they were relatively dormant in the second half, allowing the Pack to, well, come back, and the result was a 27-24 Green Bay victory. If there was something encouraging coming out of the game it was that Joe Mixon, the second-round draft pick with a troubled past out of Oklahoma, had 101 total yards from scrimmage. So they move ahead hoping that he can be a running back they can depend on.
The Browns are obviously in the midst of some growing pains because they are breaking in their new quarterback, second-round draft pick DeShone Kizer. They have shown an ability to keep scores close, as even though they are 0-3, they have lost by a total of only ten points. So there’s some hope for Hue Jackson and the Browns as they come into this one at home.
Cleveland hopes to have Myles Garrett on the field for this one. He was the #1 overall draft pick, and has the ability to disrupt the other teams offense. But after suffering a high ankle sprain, he has missed the first three games. The Browns have sacked opposing quarterbacks six times thus far, but that total can get amped up in a hurry if Garrett is able to realize his potential.
Part of the problem with Cleveland is that they really don’t have a complete set of wide receivers, and in fact, they have had to convert running back Duke Johnson to the position much of the time. Johnson is the team’s leading receiver, catching 11 passes for 160 yards. Can they get the running game going? That’s a great question. Isaiah Crowell has averaged a paltry 2.9 yards per attempt, so he is been somewhat less than a reliable option, which unnerves coach Jackson to a certain extent, because he really wanted to depend on the ground attack. Yes, Cleveland has been behind much of the time, and that has caused him to throw the ball, but they have had 119 passing plays compared to only 67 runs, and that’s not really acceptable.
VietBet patrons can look at the stat sheet and see that neither one of these teams is very good at converting on third down. Cincinnati is only 30% successful, while Cleveland is at 27%. Yes, Lazor may have injected a little bit of life into the game plan last week, and we imagine that all those stories about how the Bengals wanted management to sign Colin Kaepernick to a contract might have put Andy Dalton on full alert. We’ll see if that carries over to this week. Meanwhile, Kizer is only 53% accurate with seven interceptions and ten sacks. So yes, the struggle is real.
