Well, the Cleveland Cavaliers wanted to get off to a really good start in Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors, and they could not have asked for anything better than for Steph Curry, who was coming off a horrible game two night’s prior, as he hit 5-23 from the field, make just one field goal and score three points in the first half. Vietbet customers probably should not have for him to remain dormant for very long, however, and he exploded with 24 points in the second half, as he led the Warriors to a 36-point fourth-quarter and a near-come back from 20 points down. Alas, he and the Warriors fell short, as the Cavaliers have now taken a 2-1 advantage, with Game 4 scheduled for Thursday night at the Quicken Loans Arena.
In the basketball betting odds on Game 4, as they have been established at Vietbet, the Warriors are once again the slight favorites:
Golden State Warriors -2.5
Cleveland Cavaliers +2.5
Over 193 points -110
Under 193 points -110
With Lebron James, these huge evenings are becoming just another day at the office. James had 40 points and added 12 rebounds, but it can be said that Cleveland got some unexpected offensive contribution from Matthew Dellavedova, who helped to shut down Curry in the first half, and had 20 points of his own. Again, Cleveland went with a bench of JR Smith, James Jones and Mike Miller, but they aren’t exactly getting what they expected out of this combination.
It has become very apparent in this series that both teams are going to have to fight hard for every point they score. As far as the Cavs are concerned, James and Dellavedova are the only players who scored more than ten points on the evening. For the Warriors, it was not the kind of game they envisioned, quite obviously. They made only 18 of their 42 shots in the paint, and came away with only four fast-break points. They would definitely like to get out there more in transition, but what was encouraging is that Curry got himself uncorked in that second half. He made seven triples, but there is a discouraging side to that as well, as no one else on the Golden State roster really had any long-range firepower.
Vietbet customers have to keep in mind that there may be something of a wildcard in Game 4, because David Lee, a two-time All-Star, contributed 11 points and four rebounds in only about 13 minutes. He has been underutilized in the post-season, and with the entire Golden State frontline totaling only four field goals, there is no balance in the scoring.
Cleveland allowed Golden State to once again come almost all the way back, and in his post-game comments, Lebron said that this was something his team really had to learn from. They gave up more points in the fourth quarter than they did in the second and third quarters combined.
