Peyton Manning has been through a season of struggle with the Denver Broncos, and the nadir was last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, when he threw for just 35 yards and was intercepted four times in a 29-13 loss. As it turns out, Manning has what has been described is a partially torn plantar fascia, and he will sit out Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears, opening the door for Brock Osweiler to make the first start of his NFL career. This is the kind of offense Kubiak initially envisioned, with the running game dominating things. Let’s see if the Broncos can really make that happen.

Remember that Denver still has that defense, and it has allowed only 5.3 yards per passing attempt. That will make things difficult for Jay Cutler, although he has shown some improvement under the new regime.
