The Chicago Bears are in the process of trying to rebound from a disastrous 2014 season, and their choice of a new coach indicates a shift in their philosophy as to how that is going to get done. We don’t know if John Fox can affect any miracles, but he’s got a lot of work ahead of him to reverse last season’s 5-11 finish, and this team does not get started easy, as they have to face the Green Bay Packers in football betting action that will get underway at 1 PM ET on Sunday, September 13 at Soldier Field.

Martellus Bennett, with 90 receptions, was one of the league’s most productive tight ends. But Brandon Marshall was traded away, so the Bears are hoping that first-round draft choice Kevin White, the seventh player selected, can fill that void, along with veteran Eddie Royal, who they are counting on as a possession receiver.

Only one team in the league allowed more points than their 27.6 per game, and Chicago ranked 30th in the NFL in pass defense.
