The San Francisco 49ers won the opening game of the season in very impressive fashion, and they haven’t tasted victory since. Last week they got close, going to overtime with the New York Jets, but in that game they blew a 14-point lead. The only thing that has kept them from putting a stranglehold on the #1 overall draft choice is that the Cleveland Browns are winless. And Chip Kelly has people wondering about whether he’s going to stick around for another season. On Sunday, the Niners travel east to face the Atlanta Falcons, who have to be at a high intensity level, because they are in a fight with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the NFC West lead. This game begins at 4:05 PM ET at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, and while Fox Network is carrying it on a regional basis, VietBet customers can place wagers in real time, using the facilities made available through Live Betting Ultra.

49ers vs Falcons – CJ’s Take:
The 49ers looked real good in the first half against the Jets, but they kind of fell apart after halftime. Bryce Petty, making his first road start the NFL, took his team on a key touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter and then another one in overtime, with Bilal Powell leading the way with 145 yards on the ground. San Francisco, you must remember, is the league’s worst when it comes to stopping the run, allowing almost five yards per carry. But they were able to get an incredible game out of Carlos Hyde, who had 193 rushing yards, so that would be somewhat encouraging.
The Falcons and Buccaneers are tied at 8-5, and they have split their season series, so there will still be some tiebreakers to work out. Atlanta had victory in the palm of their hand against Kansas City couple of weeks ago, but on an attempted two-point conversion, Matt Ryan threw an interception to Eric Berry, who took it all the way back for two-pointer that actually gave the Chiefs a one-point victory. Last week they were able to rebound with a 42-14 victory over the Los Angeles Rams, in effect knocking Jeff Fisher out of his coaching spot.
The Falcons were able to put up those 42 points despite missing their top two wide receivers. Julio Jones and Mohammed Sanu sat out the game, but they could be back this week. Then again, perhaps Atlanta could afford to limit what they do, because of the level of the opposition. Taylor Gabriel is a guy who is really emerged for this squad, with 504 yards, 17.4 yards per catch and five touchdowns, equaling Jones for the team lead.
Matt Ryan has to be considered a Most Valuable Player candidate. He’s got the numbers to back it up, with 60% completions, 9.2 yards per attempt and 30 touchdown passes. The Falcons are second in the league in yards gained per drive, and VietBet patrons should understand that it is to offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan’s credit that he has allowed Ryan to work up-tempo at times, where he is most comfortable.
Can San Francisco do anything to slow these guys down? Well, they have allowed 26 touchdown passes on the season, and they will probably go about as far as Colin Kaepernick takes them in terms of trading points. But Kaepernick is only 55% accurate on the season, so we’ll have to see what he can make happen with his feet. The controversial quarterback has averaged 7.6 yards per carry this season.
