The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled off one of the bigger surprises in the NFL last season by getting to the brink of a Super Bowl appearance. Their defense was simply awesome, and there is no reason VietBet customers shouldn’t think they can be just as formidable in 2018. There is big hope is that Blake Bortles will prove worthy of the extension he got on his contract.
Both Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns had nice runs in Jacksonville, and they were quietly effective. But the Jags let them go before they had a chance to become somewhat obsolete. Robinson is now with the Chicago Bears, while Hurns took up residence in Dallas with the Cowboys. A newcomer at wide receiver is Dante Moncrief, a speedster from the Indianapolis Colts, and to replace veteran Mercedes Lewis, the front office went out and brought in two very capable tight ends in Niles Paul and Austin Sefarian-Jenkins. Chad Henne, a longtime backup, was also let go, and Cody Kessler, who doesn’t have a big arm but is pretty accurate, will be the new #2 man behind Bortles.

2018 Jacksonville Jaguars Odds and Betting Preview:
The emergence of rookie Keelan Cole (17.8 tards per catch) was something that made the Jags a little more comfortable letting Robinson and Hurns move on, and they are hoping for progress out of the Dede Westbrook. DJ Clark was a second-round draft pick, so they ought to be relatively well-stocked with wideouts.
The first round draft pick was Taven Bryan, a defensive lineman out of Florida who has great potential but needs development time. Jacksonville can afford to work him in slowly with the plethora of talent they have up front. This is one of the top secondaries in the National Football League and will be fortified with third-round draft pick Ronnie Harrison, who will step in as a reserve safety behind Barry Church. When you can rush the passer like they do (55 sacks, 2nd in the league), you have the effect of making the secondary better, so the great duo of AJ Bouye and Jalen Ramsey benefits.
This was the second-ranked defense, both in terms of yardage and points allowed, and maybe one of the surprises is that the offense was #5 in scoring. If you remember, Bortles came into the league as something of a gun-slinger, and he produced a lot of interceptions. The influence of head coach Doug Marrone, who was in his first full season in Jacksonville, and team executive Tom Coughlin served to rein him in, and he had “only” 13 picks in 2017. But he also has limitations, as his primary objective was not to lose games. If the Jags can continue to run the ball and get favorable field position from the defense, they can afford this kind of thing.
On balance, Jacksonville looks like one of the top four or five all-around teams in the NFL, and they only hope that their QB can continue to minimize mistakes, which have hurt them in the past.
