Even though the Baltimore Ravens were ninth in the league in scoring last season, they were only 27th in offensive yardage, and the consensus is that quarterback Joe Flacco might be wearing out his welcome. But VietBet customers may have seen management give him a little push through their off-season acquisitions, and who knows – we could be looking at a change in the approach of this defensive unit.
The Ravens were 9-7 last season, and Flacco produced the lowest yards per attempt of his entire career. Flacco says it is not his job to worry about who his team drafted in the first round, but it should be noted that Baltimore moved up 20 spots to take Lamar Jackson, the Heisman Trophy winner out of Louisville, who may be a bit raw as a passer but is the type of signal caller who can make a lot of things happen with his feet. And it will be interesting to see what happens in the early part of the regular season, if the Ravens struggle moving the ball with Flacco at the controls. It should also be noted that Baltimore signed another Heisman winner, Robert Griffin III, who, when healthy, has a similar skill set to Jackson. We are not sure he will make the team, but Griffin has the potential to make things interesting in training camp.

This is always been an offense with a like to use the tight end, but there has been some attrition there, so they reached out and drafted two of the best Titans available. They made South Carolina’s Hayden Hurst with their first-round selection, and then on the third round they snagged Mark Andrews of Oklahoma, the All-American. So now they are very deep at the position.
Take note that there could be a new right tackle on hand as well, as they took another Oklahoma player, Orlando Brown, in the third round. Two more offensive lineman came later, as the Ravens are making this something of an area of emphasis.
In the receiver corps, Jeremy Maclin went into the free agency market, while Danny Woodhead retired. The Ravens tried their best to add some firepower out wide, acquiring former Arizona Cardinal John Brown; Willy Snead, who played with the Saints last year, and Michael Crabtree, the possession-type receiver who comes from the Oakland Raiders. What they really need to do is to find a genuine featured back in the rushing game. They did not sign any significant free agents there, and did not address this in the draft.
John Harbaugh as an accomplished coach, and he benefited by a +17 turnover ratio last season, but the Ravens still have quite a ways to go if they’re going to seriously challenge the Steelers in the AFC North. It will be interesting to see what happens with the quarterback situation, if Flacco does not get off to a good start.
